Portable Surge Guard with LCD Display
Category: RV Protection
Electrical faults and surges in the power supply can damage sensitive electronic equipment that is plugged in to the AC system of an RV. A small investment in a power-protection device can save owners from costly repairs. Southwire recently redesigned its Surge Guard 34950 to provide electrical protection for 50-amp systems from both campground power sources and faults inside the RV. A 30-amp model is also available.
The portable unit shows real-time voltage and amp draw on an easy-to-read LCD display. Power is automatically disconnected under conditions of low or high voltage, open ground, open neutral, reverse polarity and overheating of plugs. Incoming power is constantly monitored, allowing for automatic reset when acceptable power is restored.
